Former Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was reportedly robbed at his home in Barcelona on Monday morning.
The Spanish newspaper El País reported that at least four men broke into his garden and threatened him with guns and iron bars.
After Aubameyang was assaulted and threatened by men in front of his wife Alisha Behag, the criminals opened the safe in the house and stole the jewelry.
Witnesses claim that the thieves fled in a white Audi A3.
Aubameyang has been living in Barcelona since February after joining the Spanish club on a free transfer from Arsenal.
The 33-year-old is in talks to return to London this summer and Chelsea are keen to sign the Barcelona striker.
Earlier this month, Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski had his £59,000 watch stolen outside the club’s training ground while signing autographs for supporters.
Last year, 19-year-old Barcelona winger Ansu Fati broke into his house while watching the team’s game at the Camp Nou.
Some of the player’s family members were still in the house when the thieves entered and stole money, jewelry and watches.
In 2018, the house owned by Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba was also targeted by thieves who broke into the family while they were inside.
