Chelsea have reportedly offered to sign Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Thomas Tuchel wants to bolster his attacking options before the window closes at 11pm on Thursday and Chelsea are already in extensive talks over a deal for Barcelona’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
But according to MailOnline, Chelsea have a chance to bring Neymar to Stamford Bridge.
The French champions are reportedly open to selling Neymar or Lionel Messi to comply with UEFA’s financial fair play guidelines.
Neymar made an impressive start to the new season at PSG, scoring six goals and providing six assists in the first four Ligue 1 games.
At an event in Recife in June, Chelsea defender Thiago Silva urged his fellow Brazilian to move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
“I have to go to Chelsea, and if so, that would be great,” Silva said.
“He doesn’t have to comment… As of now, I don’t know anything, but I hope it gets done.”
Meanwhile, new Chelsea co-owner Todd Boel is said to be ready to fully support Tuchel’s transfer request before the window closes.
Wesley Fofana has finally completed a £75m move from Leicester City, but Chelsea are in talks with Barcelona over signing Aubameyang, with the former Arsenal captain open to a move to Stamford Bridge.
