Pelé was hospitalized again this week at Albert Einstein Hospital, in São Paulo, to continue the treatment of a colon tumor.
According to a statement released by the hospital on Wednesday (8), the patient is stable and is expected to be discharged in the coming days.
He was hospitalized at the same place from 31st August to 30th September. Four days after being admitted for tests, he underwent surgery to remove the tumor.
Since then, he has stayed in his apartment nearby in the central region of the capital, where he undergoes physiotherapy sessions. He also goes to the hospital for chemotherapy.
The idea is that Pelé, upon being released by the doctors, spends the holiday season at his mansion in Guarujá (São Paulo coast).
