The Panhellenic Open Sea Cup was successfully held under adverse weather conditions in Falirikos bay from Friday, October 14 until Monday, October 17. There were times when the winds were blowing at 30mph testing the endurance and skills of the crews. A total of seven races were held. The match was organized by the Maritime Sports Association based in Mikrolimanos.
The boat was declared the winner EX OFFICIO and in fact with a difference of eight points from the second. In the seven races he finished first in four of them while he had one second and two third places.

The competition was great. The AROSTOFANI boat, skippered by the experienced Simos Kambouridis, finished in second place, while CODE ZERO, skippered by Michalis Belegris, finished in third place.
The VELOS boat of Rio Olympians Takis Mantis and Pavlos Kayali finished in fourth place. The two Olympians commented on their social media page:
“Four days full of sea and intense competition we fought and finished in 4th place in the general classification. The beauty of sports is that there are always surprises and nothing is a foregone conclusion!!
Congratulations to the winners, the boat EX OFFICIO skippered by Petrochilos Giorgos, in 2nd place the boat ARISTOFANI skippered by Simos Kambouridis and in third place the boat from Chios CODE ZERO skippered by Michalis Belegris. Well done to the organization and to the people who put on a nice race with very good weather conditions”.
The Code Zero team commented on social networks:

The 3rd place in the general classification is another important distinction for the Chios team.
Perhaps this is the most competitive Greek sailing event.
