Impressive Panathinaikos defeated Spartak Miyava again and continues in the Challenge Cup

From that point on, the “greens” dominated and with Hernandez as the protagonist, it reached 25-16, for 1-0 in the sets!

2nd set


The visitors started the second set by taking a 3-2 lead, before Panathinaikos responded and went ahead 6-4, thanks to an ace from the very good Frankos. The team of Dimitris Andreopoulos maintained the +2 advantage and with consecutive points made it 14-9, while with a block by Kovar it was 16-10. Spartak Miyava dropped to 18-13, but failed to get any closer to Panathinaikos, who made it 2-0, 25-17, celebrating the qualification at the same time.

3rd set


The match was a typical process from that point on, with Spartak leading 4-1 and Panathinaikos going on a 7-3 run, going ahead 8-7, thanks to a block by Basis on Konts. Then the two teams went hand in hand in the score, with the home team leading 19-17, 21-18 and 22-19. However, the visitors managed to come back and take a 23-22 lead, eventually taking the set, 28-26.

4th set


The fourth set was balanced, with the guests taking the lead and Panathinaikos responding, equalizing. Spartak escaped with +3, 16-13 and after a mistake by Markos the visitors took the lead 21-17, but the “greens” reacted and after equalizing at 23-23, finally made it 3-1 and celebrated the qualification with second win!
