The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev the President of the EOE and the President of the European Olympic Committees visited, Spyros Kapralos at the Presidential Palace in Baku.
The Azerbaijani President initially congratulated him Spyros Kapralos for his election as the President of the European Olympic Committees, wished him success in his actions and expressed his gratitude for the participation in the events for the 30th anniversary of the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan.
He recalled with satisfaction the 1st European Games held in Baku in 2015, underlined the importance of this great event and welcomed the role of Spyros Kapralos in organizing the games.
Expressing his gratitude for the kind words, Mr. Spyros Kapralos first conveyed his congratulations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan. Emphasizing the importance of the First European Games, the President of the EOE highlighted the excellent organization and the role of the head of state in it.
He said that Azerbaijan was a worthy host of this event which made a significant contribution to the solidarity of the European Olympic family.
President Aliyev thanked for the congratulations and expressed his belief that the relations between Azerbaijan and the European Olympic Committees will continue to develop successfully.
