The new EEC development program has already been implemented and the first registration phase will be completed on 18 January. The federation update states:
The live contact with all the clubs of Greece, in order through these visits to record in detail all the data concerning the academies and their development programs, is evolving rapidly on a daily basis, by the staff of the competent coaches.
The New Development Program of the Federation, which started to be implemented on December 1, 2021, includes a staff of 16 federal and regional coaches of the EEC, headed by Nikos Stavropoulos and Costas Tsartsaris, who have been divided into regions and geographical sectors.
So far, visits have been made to almost 300 clubs and a large number of matches have been watched across the country and the goal is to complete the first registration phase by January 18, 2022.
Already today (17/12), the names of the athletes who stood out during the first phase of evaluation are announced to the local associations.
These calls are exclusively for athletes born in 2006 and 2007 and are the result of attending training sessions or matches of their clubs.
The visits of the federal coaches to the clubs will continue at a dynamic pace, with the aim that on January 19, when the next calls of the associations are scheduled, all the athletes of this age have been evaluated.
The evolution of the Development Program will lead to the further evaluation of athletes and a re-evaluation of the data that will inevitably change frequently in such a “living” process.
