Striker Cristiano Ronaldo left the Lusail stadium without speaking to the press after Portugal’s 6-1 thrashing of Switzerland in the round of 16 of the World Cup. A few hours later, the star, who started the game on the bench, published a message on social networks praising the group.

Cristiano Ronaldo only entered the field in the 29th minute of the second half, when Portugal was already leading by 5-1. He even scored a goal, but it was disallowed for offside.
The decision to leave Cristiano on the bench was made by coach Fernando Santos. The change comes after Ronaldo cursed at the coach when he was replaced in the last round of the group stage, when the team was defeated by South Korea by 2-1. Santos confirmed that the curse had been for him and that it was not had liked.
