Neymar exposes conversations with colleagues after elimination in the Qatar Cup

On the day he landed in Brazil, this Sunday (11), striker Neymar posted messages on his Instagram stories that he exchanged via WhatsApp with defenders Marquinhos and Thiago Silva and striker Rodrygo, after the elimination to Croatia in the quarterfinals of the Qatar Cup.

“I decided to expose (without their permission) to see how much we wanted and how united we were. These were some of the many messages I exchanged with the group. Feeling of great sadness…, but we have to be stronger to move forward and I’m sure that, with the support of all the fans, we’ll come back stronger. I’m Brazilian with a lot of pride, with a lot of love!”

For Marquinhos, who kicked the fourth Brazilian kick on the crossbar, which gave the Croatian a 4-2 victory, Neymar posted that he was a fan of the defender and said that “a penalty won’t change what I think of you”. Marquinhos responded by saying that he is improving little by little and that he has the number 10 in the future: “[…] We’re going to need each other in the next battles, I love you so much.”

For Rodrygo, Neymar followed the same line, giving strength and talking to the striker who has already made a lot of mistakes in his career and that he must never give up. “Stay firm, these criticisms and charges will make you strong and you will remember what I told you… ‘You’re still going to bring a World Cup to Brazil'”.

At the end of the conversation, he even joked that he will teach Rodrygo to take penalties.

For captain Thiago Silva, the number 10 lamented the elimination and said that “I really wanted to give you this Cup. You, me and Dani deserved it too much…” The defender, on the other hand, said he still did not believe that they had lost and that he still feels like crying when he remembers the elimination.
