Houston… calls him again James Harden;
As revealed by Adrian Wojnarowski in “ESPN“, “Mousias” is thinking very seriously about the possibility to return to the Rockets next summer and will be a free agent.
In 2021, the 33-year-old guard of Sixers had demanded his exchange from the “rockets”, moving to Nets in January of that year. However, Harden did not stay long in Brooklyn, as in February 2022 granted by exchange to the team from Philadelphia.
With the Sixers, the experienced guard signed two-year contractfor $68.6 million, with the option for the 2023/24 season to remain free.
From there, as stated in the publication, “Mousias” is said to have created a special “bond” with the city of Houston, as he likes life there and therefore wishes to return to Rocketswith whom he competed from 2012 until 2021.
At the same time, if something like this is done, Harden may also win financially, since the “Rockets” have a lot of room in their salary cap and thus he will be given the opportunity to sign a fairly rich contract. In the meantime, his task will be much more difficult this time in the Texas city, as the team currently does not have a star but many young players, such as Jaylen Green, Jabari Smith and Kevin Porter Jr.
For their part, however, the Sixers they don’t seem willing to let Harden go easily and that is why it will be their main priority in the summer to sign him a new deal to keep him.
