Opinion – Sandro Macedo: Forget colors at New Year’s Eve

The western New Year’s legend says that more important than the outfit chosen to spend New Year’s Eve is the color of the garment. Since childhood this scribe has been told that white is associated with religions or peace, or both; red, passion, or was it love?; blue, tranquility (in my memory); and mother always said it was good to wear something yellow to attract wealth. From the balance in this scribe’s bank account, it is possible to say without a doubt that the yellow was a mistake.

Therefore, in the best sportsmanship spirit, this column suggests that the reader change the colors for uniforms of some teams. Who knows if it works?

Let’s start with such wealth. If you want to attract money, the tip is to wear a shirt from Qatar Saint-Germain, a club based in Paris. It’s a very well-heeled team, buys what they want and laughs at those who play in the Mega da Virada and has already made a children’s horror story called “The Myth of Financial Fair Play”.
