Football lost a star this Thursday (29). Died, aged 82, Edson Arantes do Nascimento, better known as Pelé, considered the best player in the history of the sport. According to the Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, in São Paulo, where Edson had been hospitalized since November 29, Pelé suffered multiple organ failure due to colon cancer.

During his career, Pelé scored 1,283 goals and won five world titles – two with Santos and three with the Brazilian national team, in both teams he wore the number 10 shirt. The star transcended football, ended up in the movies and projected Brazil to the world.
