“At the beginning of September I was feeling some discomfort. Because it is common for us in sports to have injuries or pain, at first I didn’t give a foothold, just over time it was more intense and I felt something different. It wasn’t a simple muscle ache or something I’d experienced before. So I was a little freaked out. I spoke to the team doctor and he referred me for a triplex, which diagnosed the disease“, explained.

Then Angelos Foskolos also referred to his first reaction when he learned about the diagnosis, saying that, as is logical, he could not believe that what his doctor was telling him was true.

“When the doctor called me, I heard him somewhat strangely. He told me “if you can come here now”. I understood that it was something urgent. The first time I went to the hospital, when I found out he said “Angel look how things are, you have cancer in an early stage. You need to be operated on, it should be removed. Everything will be fine”. I can’t explain how I felt. I got dizzy. Everything was spinning, I say “what is he telling me”».
