He passed through Lecce and Salernitana took a breather

by

A great double was celebrated at the headquarters of Lecce Salernitana (1-2). Davide Nicola’s side found two early goals to catch the hosts by surprise, then held on to their lead and took a breather ahead of a tough second leg.

The “Granata” entered the game better, “freezing” “Via Del Mare” in just the 5th minute, with Boulagé Dia to beat Falcone with a beautiful finish for 1-0! In fact, in the 20th minute they found a second goal, with Tony Villena to coolly place the Italian goalkeeper and write the 2-0!

Before the celebrations were well over, Lecce found the goal that put them back in the game, with Strefetsa getting on the ball from Pecella’s assist, finishing past Ochoa to make it 2-1.

The hosts… fought until the end of the match, however the longed-for goal did not come, with 2-1 being the final result and the Salerno team getting a very important double in the Italian South.
