“An extraordinary board of directors met today in SEGAS following the request of the member Melachrinos Panagiotis which was immediately accepted by the president, on the occasion of the oral briefing that took place on 01/25/2023 at 12:00 at the offices of Elliniko S.A. regarding the removal of the Athletics Athletes who are housed in the facilities of the EAKN Agios Kosmas.
It was announced to our representative that our athletes are obliged to leave the hostels within a week!
Today, in fact, during the extraordinary Board of Directors meeting. an e-mail was sent to us where he invites us tomorrow from 9-12 to sign a loan agreement “in implementation of the recent agreement between the Greek State and LAMDA DEVELOPMENT”(???) and to receive the keys to the apartment (!!!)”.

Because the repeated answers of the competent Deputy Minister Mr. Avgenakis to parliamentary questions of SYRIZA and KKE, mentioned the provisions of Law 4422/2016, Official Gazette A 181/27.09.2016 as binding:
“The currently existing sports facilities of the National Youth Sports Center of Agios Kosmas, with all their activities, functions and facilities, remain in operation until their replacement, implemented in stages, with corresponding facilities within the Metropolitan Park of Greenery and Recreation”.
“The thematic pole of sports activities also includes the transfer and evolution of the facilities of the National Youth Sports Center (NACE) of Agios Kosmas, which will additionally serve both the residents of neighboring areas, as well as visitors to the Park from the wider basin of Attica. The above sports facilities are accompanied by the necessary infrastructure of offices, sanitary facilities and changing rooms, as well as corresponding recreation areas, information points, outdoor seating and exercise areas, viewing areas and open green spaces with playgrounds.
The entire Board of Directors of SEGAS decided unanimously:
*Opposes and refuses to accept any movement of Athletes or facilities except as provided by law.
*Tomorrow morning (31/1) at 10:00 the President of SEGAS and Members of the Board of Directors they will be at the offices of the Administration of the EAKN Agios Kosmas to make it clear by their presence that they refuse to consent and will prevent any movement of Athletes in any way.
*The Board of Directors will decide on the necessary legal actions to take in order to defend the interests of the Federation and its athletes.
It calls on all those involved to reflect on their responsibilities when, in the middle of the competition season and ahead of international Games, they cause this disruption to our Champions, unplanned and extortionate without considering the devastating consequences.”
