Alygistos Olympiacos “suffocated” Vouliagmeni and charges for the 24th Cup!

However, 40 seconds before the end, Stathis Kalogeropoulos, with his second personal goal, brought the match to level again, equalizing at 4-4.

The start of the second half found Olympiakos in the lead again with the goal of Dinos Genidounias bringing the match to 5-4 at 7:21. In the next minute and a half, Tzortzatos and Zerdevas said no to Foudoulis and Kapotsis respectively. Genidounias captain took matters into his own hands and at 4:23 scored his third goal of the match for 6-4. Bouliagmeni did not manage to take advantage of the opportunities that were given to her and so at 1:45 before the end of the eight-minute period, Yiannis Fundoulis made it 7-4 for the “red and whites”, giving them a significant lead. But at 32 seconds, Marios Kapotsis defeated Zerdeva, reducing the score to two goals again (7-5).

The tactic was the one that dominated the quarter of eight minutes with Olympiakos and Vouliagmeni taking no chances with their attacks. About 6:30 before the end, Andro Buslie with his first goal in the match made it 8-5, effectively “cleaning” the match. In the four minutes, Vouliagmeni won a penalty which was executed by Argyropoulos and impressively saved by Zerdevas, while in the counterattack, Yiannis Foudoulis made it 9-5 for the doubles of Greece. Just one minute later Marton Vamos with a diagonal shot gave Olympiacos a double score (10-5). Troulos reduced the score to 10-6 for Vouliagmeni, while Gennidounias with a penalty and Kalogeropoulos with a shot made it 11-7. Nine seconds before the end, Dimitris Dimou put the icing on the cake making the final 12-7 for Olympiakos/
