AEK: “To allow the entry of all season holders in the stadiums”

by

AEK expressed its disagreement with the measures announced yesterday by the Ministry of Health at the extraordinary meeting of the Super League. George Kosmas, who represented the Union, pointed out that there is no intention to separate the holders of season tickets and its request is to allow the presence of all those who have bought a season ticket in the stadiums.

“What we as AEK believe is that we should first of all show absolute empathy for the overall situation with the coronavirus, which is dynamic and constantly evolving,” said George Kosmas.

“To try to claim things that are possible to claim and achieve and that is not unreasonable in the overall social context. “With this reasoning, as AEK, we consider that the most critical thing is to ensure the presence on the field of those who have pre-purchased their tickets, regardless of the percentage”, he added.

“Our proposal is to allow the presence of all season holders, whoever they are, in the stadiums, to ensure the entry of season holders, who have prepaid their presence in all the games of the season. “Provided, of course, that they are vaccinated, something that has been valid since the beginning of the season”, he stated and continued:

“Because the government, but also us – and as a motive we did it – asked the people to be vaccinated in the summer and thus entered into a not at all pleasant separation of our fans into vaccinated and unvaccinated, something that none of us wanted and was not not at all pleasant. These people, then, we have to protect, to defend, to defend. This must be our inviolable ceiling. Vaccinated season ticket holders have access to the stadium. Regardless of whether this percentage is 50%, 30 or 40, because the size in each stadium is not measurable. In OAKA it covers us 25-30%, in Karaiskaki, for example, it does not cover the duration of Olympiacos “.

The important thing is that the proposal – position of AEK is said to have been accepted by other PAE. “AEK’s proposal is in the right direction”, was the comment of PAOK vice-president, Maki Gagatsi.
