The match between Amyntas and Triton for the 16th game of the Errikos Dunan Elite League offered great emotions and an exciting finale to basketball fans, with the game being decided in three overtimes, 105-101.
The home team took the lead shortly before the end of regular time with a three-pointer by Nikos Liakopoulos (74-77), but Nemanja Manoilovic with a three-pointer in the exhalation from the center tied the game at 77-77 and sent the match to the first overtime.
The script was repeated with Donovan Marshall putting his team in front with a terrific dunk, but Nemanja Manoilovic tying the game at 86-86 with a difficult shot and Michalis Kamberidis’ tap to Spyros Sioudris leading the game into a second overtime of five minutes.
There it was Amyda’s turn to react at the end and returning from -4 to send the match to a third overtime with a basket by Nikos Liakopoulos at 9”. The… marathon ended with the winners putting the icing on the cake with Spyros Sioudris nailing.
