Tedoglou “flew” to Toruń

“Flying” from early on, Miltos Tedoglou. The European long-distance champion clocked 8.40 in the event at the Toruń indoor meeting and set this year’s world best with his second attempt at the event.

This performance is also a meeting record.

Tentoglou’s first jump was 8.07 and his third 8.24, while he missed the fourth attempt and scored 8.27 on the fifth.

The 8.40 is Tedoglou’s sixth career jump and his second best in indoor track after 8.55 at last year’s World Championships in Belgrade.

Tobias Modler was second with 8.17 and Michael Maso third with 7.84.

For his part, Emmanuel Karalis could not find his rhythm in the pole vault and ended his race early. The fourth Tokyo Olympian started at 5.52, but failed to break it in all three attempts.
