Super Bowl halftime commercial features ‘Breaking Bad’ duo

by

The commercial breaks of the Super Bowl, which will be shown next Sunday (12), will show a reunion of the protagonists of the series “Breaking Bad”, the rapper Jack Harlow playing triangle and a surprise celebrity that will only be revealed on the day of the competition.

Among those confirmed in the event’s halftime ads are brands such as Doritos, Uber, Downy and Michelob Ultra and Busch Light beers, among others, as shown by commercials already released until this Thursday (9)

The meeting between Bryan Craston and Aaron Paul, stars of “Breaking Bad”, is part of the new advertisement for PopCorners. In the video, the two characters return to the laboratory made in Walter White’s van to produce and sell the brand’s snacks, in place of the methamphetamine that gives rise to the plot.

Beer brand Michelob Ult also opted for nostalgia, paying tribute to the 1980 film “Clube dos Pilantras”, with former American football player Tony Romo and tennis player Serena Williams in a commercial of more than three minutes.

Doritos, on the other hand, brought the singer Jack Harlow, changing rap for the musical instrument triangle, in a reference to the format of snacks. The ad also features another music celebrity to rival the rapper.

Downy will advertise its “Downy Unstopables” fabric softener, which the brand claims will leave clothes smelling for up to 12 weeks.

For this, the company released, on December 12, a video that shows a celebrity with his face covered by a sweatshirt, which will only be removed on the day of the Super Bowl. The secret star claims that she will remain smelling the piece throughout the entire period, to “prove” that the softener’s effect is long-lasting.

In another commercial, singer Sarah McLachlan participates in a campaign for the beer brand Busch Light, former American football player Rob Gronkowski trains for FanDuel bookmaker and rapper Diddy tries to make a new jingle for Uber One , transport application subscription service.
