History is being made in England, for the first time referees will wear body cameras!

According to recent surveys made public on the Island, a huge percentage of referees say they fear for their physical integrity, while around a third say they have been the victim of physical abuse from fans, players, coaches and agents.

The president of the referees association, Paul Field welcomed the news with great satisfaction, stressing that he hopes body cameras will reduce incidents of physical and verbal violence, as the lives and mental health of referees are at risk.
