“We know their names”: How the coup in Moldova was avoided by Partisan supporters!

by

The reasons that Partizan played in Moldova against Sheriff Tiraspol for the Europa Conference League playoffs without their fans they were quite special.

You see, the country’s secret services had proceeded to deny entry to any friends of the Serbian team who wanted to make the trip in question out of fear that there were tumultuous elements in their ranks who, encouraged by Russia, would try to cause chaos in Chisinau anyway in order that to catalyze the pro-Western government!

“Trained fighters were to infiltrate the ranks of Partisan followers” said Moldovan MP Adrian Cheptonar, while speaking to Josimar Football, the secretary of the Ukrainian Security and Defense Council, Alexei Danilov, claimed that “we know their names, we are closely monitoring these people.”

All this comes and fits in with the words of the country’s president, Maia Sandou, who in mid-February said that “The Russians want to change the leadership of Chisinau. Our documents show that there are organized actions against public order. Among what we found, there are even instructions on how to enter Moldova if you are a citizen of Russia, Belarus, Serbia and Montenegro.”

The… alarm went off three days before the match, when twelve Serbs arrived in the Moldovan capital. An unusual fact, given that Chisinau is not a tourist destination that would attract fans so early.

The fans in question were not accepted into the country and had to find ways to return home, while other Serbs who had planned to fly to Moldova from Bucharest the next day they learned in time that they were not welcome!

According to Cheptonar, “the plan was for a large group of Partizan fans to come to the country. Thanks to the actions of our secret services, this did not happen. We were informed that agents sent by the Kremlin intended to enter the country with forged papers, which would present them as Serbs, Belarusians or Montenegrins.”

In the end, the match was played behind closed doors, with Partizan winning 1-0. Sheriff pulled off a major upset winning 3-1 in Belgrade, thus qualifying for the last 16 of the Conference. It is clear that if what the Moldovan authorities have found is true, football is relegated to second and third tier, especially while the war rages in neighboring Ukraine…
