The Italian FA is investigating the conduct of the fourth official following Mourinho’s accusations

by

In an investigation into the behavior of the fourth referee, in Cremonese-Roma (28/2), Marco Serra, will the Italian Football Federation proceed, following his accusations Jose Mourinho for disrespectful behavior towards his person.

After the end of the match, the Portuguese coach spoke for the red card he received in the second half, saying: “For the first time in my career a referee spoke to me in an unjustified way. I am not crazy. And for me to have the reaction I had is because something happened. I need to know now if there is anything I can do legally. Piccinini gave me the red because the fourth official told him to. But the fourth official does not have the honesty to tell him what he said to me, how he treated me and what caused my reaction. I don’t want to go into the issue that Marco Serra is from Turin and he sent me off ahead of the match against Juventus.”

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the dispute between them started when the Giallorossi coach complained about a foul, with the quarterback responding “do your work”. But then blood…fired, as Serra told Mourinho “everyone is taking you from Mr…, go home”.

The Italian Federation investigate the case, in order to find out if what the Portuguese technician mentioned has been implemented, who emphasized that he will take legal action for the incident in question.
