THE Niki Xanthou bought his… infamous shoes Miltos Tedoglou for a good cause!

The former Olympic champion and holder of the Panhellenic record in length contacted her former and current coach Miltos Tedoglou, George Pomaski, so as to express her desire to buy the shoes of the Greek Olympian from the Toruń meeting.

Let’s remember that the shoes were put up for auction in order to strengthen them financial children from the earthquake affected areas in Turkey.

So, through SEGAS, the amount collected by Niki Xanthou, but also by a Greek food company, is already in an account indicated by the Turkish Ministry of Interior, especially for this purpose.

“The earthquake in Turkey moved all Greeks and me personally. Seeing the scenes in the first days with the freed people from the ruins came to me the desire to help more actively. As if from God, Miltos, after the well-known commotion with his shoes and the jump at 8.40 m, which was not recognized, announced together with Giorgos Pomaski their touching idea to make the shoes available to raise money for the children of Turkey .

As a former athlete of Pomaski, but also as a person who understands how great an athlete and not only Miltos is, I spoke with them and told them that I would like to take the shoes and give the money they want for the earthquake victims. Idea that was immediately accepted”said Niki Xanthou!
