Unbelievable and yet true: Liverpool humiliated Manchester United with a historic 7-0!

by

History was written by Liverpool! Jurgen Klopp’s side were terrifying against Manchester Unitedwhich he leveled with history 7-0 at “Anfield” for its 26th matchday Premier League. From two goals for Hakpo, Nunes and Salah, with the Egyptian reaching the 11 against to the “red devils” and become, among other things, Liverpool’s top scorer at Premier League level by scoring in 129 times in 205 championship match. Last derby goal for Roberto Firmino who announced his departure from the club in midweek.

The heaviest defeat for United since December 1931 when they had been beaten by the same scoreline against Wolves.

The match

Explosive was the start in the derby with the Liverpool to try to threaten mainly from the left with him Robertson. However, it was United who threatened first, with Anthony alone down the right, but his beautiful curling shot was stopped by Alison which he kicked for a corner. The home team initially responded with Salah’s misfired shot on goal 14′while five minutes later Nunez took advantage of the counterattacks, shot and the ball went wide.

In the 23′ the reds threatened him again Martins to catch up with him Bath tubs with projection, before the Uruguayan striker became dangerous. The answer from his team Ten Haah came in the 26th minute. Great delivery, his cross Dalot from the right to Bruno Fernandes, but the Portuguese’s header went wide. A few seconds passed and United were back in the goal with him Rashford not being able to place Alison properly.

The pace dropped noticeably from that point and then the half had a goal before its end. In the 43′ Robertson found him “sick” diagonally Hakpothe Dutchman stepped into the area, feigned Varane and with a masterpiece of a pass sent the ball into De Gea’s net for 1-0 which was also the score for the first part.

The second half started exactly as the first ended. With a goal for Liverpool. Mistakes piled up outside the United area, the ball found its way to Elliott who found Nunez alone in front of goal with the Uruguayan easily heading home 2-0. From that point on the “Liverpool” hurricane flattened everything in its path.

Terrible counterattack in the 50′ with Hakpo to take Salah’s pass on the counterattack and with a difficult angle to do so 3-0! In the 58th minute, Konate sent the ball out with a header after Robertson’s corner kick.

In the 66th minute, Salah with a one-piece shot from the heart of the area coldly executed De Gea for the 4-0, reaching 11 goals against United. The “storm” didn’t stop even in the 75th minute Darwin Nunez with a head he did it 5-0 in the disorganized United defense, while eight minutes later o Salah again capitalized on the Red Devils’ mistakes at the back by doing so 6-0!

The icing on the cake was put by Roberto Firmino in his last derby. Mistakes and counterattacks favored the Brazilian who completed the historic triumph for the final with a spot kick from the corner of the small area 7-0!

In this way Liverpool reached the 42 degrees in 25 matches and goes the next matchday to Bournemouth to face the team of the same name. Setback for United after winning it League Cup and the qualification on it Barcelona in the Europa League, she was unrecognizable and will look for a breakout next matchday against Southampton.
