Eindhoven Preper retires at 30: “I do not feel comfortable with football culture”

by

He may have just turned 30 in September, however Davey Preper decided to retire from active action – even though he had a contract for a year and a half still with Eindhoven.

The Dutch midfielder justified his decision by saying that “I no longer feel comfortable with football culture. I made this decision before Christmas and it relieved me a lot, I knew this was the right one.

As long as he played abroad (between 2017 and 2021, in Brighton), I started to lose my appetite, as well as the discipline you need. The coronavirus pandemic did not help, as I could not visit my family and friends.

Now I have time to look to find what I want to do. We will see if I will miss football. I want to thank my family, relatives and friends for the support I received from them. “Now I can invest time in them.”

The veteran, now, footballer, played in the past and in Φίτεσε, while he was anointed and 19 times international with the Netherlands.
