An announcement in a very strong style was issued by Red Star after defeat in yesterday’s derby by Partizan for the Adriatic League. The red and whites blast the referee, stress that Željko Obradović is in command of the organization, characterize his statements about the attack by Matias Lessor on Philip Petrusevwhile demanding the strictest punishment of the French ace.
In detail, the announcement states:
“After Monday’s embarrassing game, the purpose of which was simply for our team to be present and for the opponent to win with every goal, Red Star demands immediate action from the Adriatic League for several reasons. The hypocritical statements of the coach of Partizan after the bad refereeing just confirm that everything was directed in advance by the people who have to justify the huge amounts they have in the budget but not for the tax office.
We ask for the strictest punishment of Matias Lessor, who attacked our player and international athlete Filip Petrusev with fists. Otherwise the season will not end with such situations. We have been silent for too long about the behaviors of some people who should only be rivals on the field.
From being reported in the EuroLeague, which is a great shame, to swearing at us on the pitch… Isn’t this behavior punished by the Adriatic League?
We also saw players who were treated favorably by the referees, while others like Campazzo with such a career were treated like… teenagers. Refereeing has never been worse, evidenced.
The Adriatic League will have to show the minimum dignity to keep the level of the competition. If not, let them find the courage to tell us publicly. This league was created in 2000 not by individuals, but by teams and their owners. And it certainly does not belong to the coach of Partizan.
