Super Valencia “killed” Fenerbahce with a buzzer beater and… in the bay!

It may not have much chance but the Valencia will chase its entry into the Euroleague playoffs to the end! The “Bats” got a huge home win against the Fenerbahce (82-80) with Webb’s buzzer beater and hope!

After this result the Spaniards improved their record to 14-15 and will continue the effort to advance the qualification to the eight, while on the other hand the Turks fell to the 17-11 and they saw home advantage make it terribly difficult.

The match

Valencia started the game strongly, after taking an early lead of +6 (10-4). Fenerbahce went ahead for the first time (12-13), but the Spaniards escaped with +7 (22-15), after stepping on the gas in the attack. The Turks, however, found a way and at the end of the first quarter they equalized the situation (22-21). The “bats” opened the gap again at +6 (32-26), but Itoudis’ total equalized with brief procedures (32-32). 40-34 quickly turned into 43-42 and that’s how the first half ended, with the game… basically starting over.

With Guduric in front offensively, Fenerbahce went ahead for the first time with +6 (45-51), but Valencia did not let it go and quickly took control of the game again (54-53). The match continued with consecutive changes in the lead, until the end of the third quarter, where the Spaniards were ahead with +1 (61-60). The “bats” reached +9 with two three-pointers and embraced the victory, but Motley collected it again (69-67)! The hosts were firmly in front for a while, the Turks tied the match (77-77), with Valencia leading (80-77) and Guduric scoring a three-pointer at 10”! Webb, however, with a buzzer beater, gave the victory to his team (82-80)!
