Jovanovic: “High quality referees should come – We need wins in derbies too”

Satisfied with the result but also with the passion they showed in the derby with AEK, the coach of Panathinaikos presented himself, Ivan Jovanovichat the press conference.

The Serbian technician, among other things, referred to the regular part of his team, while he didn’t want to to comment on his refereeing Dabanovic.

For the match and refereeing: “It is a result that in the long run may not benefit any team. it was a fair result. Now about the arbitration I feel bad to talk. We need more high quality referees. That would be the simplest thing I could say. We live in tension. After years four teams claim the championship. All of us coaches and players should help the teams in reasonable sportsmanlike contexts. In addition to the preparedness of the teams, we need support at a higher level of referees. In the first half we could control the tempo. But we weren’t that aggressive and that creative to do more things in attack. For the derbies that Panathinaikos does not lose: “We need wins. But I can’t think of it that way. In every match or derby we have played or will play, we do not change our way of thinking when we play. The victories are what will give us the final goal. There are also opponents. We are dealing with large groups. The draw was not something we were completely satisfied with I would say. Certainly if you can’t win it’s better not to lose. But victories will give us victories”.
