Four arrests for the incidents before Panathinaikos-Olympiakos, the three minors!

Specifically, before the start of the match, a group consisting of -150- people, some of whom had their facial features covered, came out of the gate of the stadium and unprovokedly attacked police officers of the Attica Police Operations Directorate, throwing Molotov cocktails towards them , explosive devices, flares, stones, iron railings, wood and glass bottles.

The police forces, applying pushback tactics, managed to bring the attackers back to the stadium gates. Subsequently, at the end of the match and when the fans were leaving, they managed to locate and arrest two of the attackers, one of whom was a minor.

A case file was filed against them by the Sub-Directorate for Combating Violence in Sports Venues of the Attica Security Directorate for – as the case may be – violence against employees and judicial persons, disturbance of public peace, attempted dangerous bodily harm by complicity and violations of the legislation on weapons, flares and flares , about amateur and professional sports.

From the investigations carried out in the area where the attacks took place, among others, the following were found and seized:

-2- fire extinguishers,

-7- flares,

-4- metal parts of a fire hydrant hose,

-1- improvised explosive device,

-1- molotov,

-1- metal rod 90 cm long.

flare residue and

remains of glass bottles.

The attacks caused damage to -2- official and -2- I.X.E. vehicles.

Also, from the police checks carried out before the start of the match, two minors were caught in possession of a firecracker and a raw cannabis cigarette, respectively. A case file was filed against them – as the case may be – for violating the law on dealing with violence on the occasion of sports events and on addictive substances and following a verbal order of the competent Prosecutor, they were released on the same day.
