Shock in Feyenoord: Academy footballer suffers from testicular cancer


The revelation of the 14-year-old footballer caused a shock in the ranks of Feyenoord as well as in Dutch football. Mick Ackermans that he suffers from testicular cancer.

The talented football player wanted to make his health adventure known through instagram stressing that he has already undergone surgery and is soon to begin his first six-week round of chemotherapy.

In fact, Ackermans thanked his club so much Rotterdam who has covered all his expenses, but also his family who has stood by him.

His shocking message in detail:

“I have had surgery and luckily no more metastases have been found. However, I will be starting a round of chemotherapy for the next six weeks.

It will be a difficult process but with all the support I have received so far from my club, my old club, friends, acquaintances and family, I will come out of it stronger. I know that for sure. See you soon”.

We remind you that last summer Ackermans moved from Eindhoven to Feyenoord for a sum of 30 thousand euros which is a record for a footballer of this age.
