The referees changed their decision – Dallas defended on the wrong basket

The Mavericks will file an official protest with the NBA against the referees of the game against the Warriors, as their owner announced. Mark Cuban made his intentions known after his team lost by two points (127-125) for a period late in the third period in which the referees reversed their decision without doing so known to the players and coaching staff of the Dallas team, causing his players to defend on the wrong basketball!

“For those wondering, let me explain what happened. The referee awarded possession to the Mavericks. The stadium announcer announced it and then there was a time-out,” writes Mark Cuban and continues:

“During the time-out the referees changed their decision, but they never informed us! Then when they saw us go for the rebound on the other side of the court, he just gave the ball to the Warriors. They never said a word to us. The Warriors got an easy basket, a phase that obviously matters in a game decided by two points. This is probably the worst non call in NBA history. All they had to do was tell us and they didn’t,” Mark Cuban said in a statement.
