Jokic: “Enough with the MVP talk, we’ll see what happens”

by

There is a big debate (again) this year about the MVP award in NBA.

The conversation usually seems to involve three names, his Nikola Jokicby Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Serb, in particular, is leading the Nuggets in putting up amazing numbers, making him look like a strong favorite for the award.

“Joker” himself, however, stated that he is tired of hearing about the MVP, stressing that any result will be fair, while he also spoke about the hopes of the Nuggets to achieve some distinction this year.

What the Serb said in detail::

On whether he thinks he’ll be MVP: “Enough of that, I can’t, really. Third year in a row… I don’t really think about it.. I take it one game at a time and that’s it. If it’s going to happen, it’s going to happen. Whoever wins the award will deserve to win, that’s for sure”

On the Nuggets’ playoff hopes: “I don’t know, I expect to get through the first round and then we’ll see. And the first round is not sure, I don’t even know who we’re going to face right now. Whether it’s Golden State or Minnesota, whether it’s the Lakers, Oklahoma or Utah, I don’t really know, but I think when we look at the record with them this year, it’s not very good, so … we’ll see.”
