Thanks to his goal Federico AlvarezAsteras Tripoli defeated 2-1 Panetolicofor the 1st matchday of the playouts.

The Argentine was named the most valuable player of the match and spoke while receiving his award.

His statements in detail:

“It was a goal that I was very happy with. I celebrated it. It was my first goal with the team and I was more than happy because it came at a difficult time. We definitely wanted to win the match. It was important for us to start the playouts with a win. I was very happy to help my team by scoring my first goal.

I want to thank my family very much, to whom I dedicate this award because they are always there for me. In the most difficult but also happiest moments. To the fans of the team I would like to say that it was not a year that did not go as we would have liked. It’s not a good season for Asteras, however in the remaining games we want to do our best to get more wins. Of course, I would like to thank those who took the trouble to vote for me.”

For the match with Ionikos: “It will be a difficult game, against a team we faced very recently, again at home. This certainly makes things difficult. What’s more, Ionikos is burning for points to stay in the division. But that doesn’t interest us. We’re going to play our game, get as many points as possible. As I said before it was a difficult year, but the last image is the one that remains. That’s why we want to end the season as best as possible.”
