The profits of the early… season extension with Olympiakos

Oh, one more pioneering move by KAE Olympiacos to enable the fans who wish to reserve a season ticket ahead of the new season, is something that is happening for the first time in Greece, and has several goals and parallel advantages. And if for our country it is not the most common the fan to do… an early contract extension with his position on the field, this specific tactic is followed by most teams in Europe.

This, in other words, taking out season tickets early on, allows them to initially proceed with their planning knowing early on the “base” of the world that will support them anyway. At the same time, it enables them to have in their hands the first real financial data for the new season. In the case of Olympiakos, the information and the surrounding atmosphere in recent months indicate that many have already requested details about the how they can book a permanent position in SEF and for the new season. In addition, KAE had noticed that due to season tickets being made available in the summer, several old holders were away on holiday and missing their ticket and seat renewal deadlines.

At Olympiakos, which, in addition to this year’s highly successful year so far, are already planning on many levels for the next one, their goal is season tickets from 5800 which was this year to increase to at least 6500. So that there are approximately 5,500 tickets available per match. In these games, the “dynamic pricing” policy will be followed again this year. That is, depending on the importance of the match and the availability of the tickets, the ticket prices will be adjusted per match. It was therefore decided to release them earlier this year in order to meet the huge demand, but also to find out how many of last year’s owners will renew, so that after the period April 5-April 21, the availability will also begin for new interested parties who want to be served.

Because… lasting benefits

In a year in which there have already been seven sold outs in the Euroleague and one in the Greek league, and in fact many days before the jambol of the games, the supply of the season ticket is the most advantageous option in many respects. In addition to the fact that its holder has a guaranteed seat for all matches without the slightest inconvenience, KAE Olympiacos has established a number of privileges, such as parking, offers of the team and its sponsors. The most important of all, however, is the financial benefit.

For example, a lifetime ticket 800 euroscorresponds to a seat for which if one were to pay a single ticket per match across all matches, one would spend 2,050 euros! Correspondingly for a seat corresponding to a season ticket 350 eurosone would pay from 600 to 700 euros. In addition, season ticket holders have full priority, depending on their ticket category, on Final Four tickets, as well as a number of other activities. As for the prices now, they are slightly up on this year, mainly because the demand for each holder seat is more than double the seats available. After all, we are talking about approximately 35 guaranteed matches at home in Greece and Europe.
