In the first round of the Women’s Volley League 1-8 playoffs, the teams will compete against each other in two matches (home-away). The home team of the first match is the team which occupied the lowest position in the final standings of the regular season.
In the event that both competing teams have one win in the first two matches between them, a score is created, as provided for in article 17 hereof (3 points for a 3-0 or 3-1 set win, 2 points for a win with 3-2 sets, 1 point for a 2-3 set loss and 0 points for a 1-3 and 0-3 set loss).
If with this rating they have the same points, then after the end of the second match a “golden” set (tie-tie) will be held at fifteen points.
The winners of the first stage advance to the semi-finals, while the defeated teams will not play any more matches and will occupy positions 5 to 8 in the final standings, according to the ranking in the final standings of the regular season.
