After having “locked up” the lead and absolute home advantage in the NBA, the Bucks played with several absences in the indifferent game with the Grizzlies and the loss to Memphis was without a response.
Milwaukee played without Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday, Brook Lopez, Bobby Portis, Joe Ingles, but also the injured Grayson Allen, Pat Connaughton and Khris Middleton, with the latter running to catch the start of the playoffs.
Important, however, was the fact that Thanasis Antetokounmpo got enough playing time, who played for 38 minutes against the “bears” and had 12 points (6/9 two-pointers), 8 rebounds and 4 assists.
The leading scorer for the Bucks was Liddell Wigginton, who finished the game with 25 points and 11 assists, while Jay Crowden had 24 points in 24 minutes.
For Memphis, Jaren Jackson Jr. led the way with 36 points, Luke Kinard added 19 and Ja Morad finished the game with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists in 24 minutes of action.
