PZPN: “We do not prejudge referees’ guilt – Bennett changed them due to media pressure”

by

Bombs from the Polish Football Associationwhich with its announcement takes a position on what happened with Pavel Ratzkowski and basically confirms the sportfm.gr reports about the referee!

In particular, “PZPN” states that it does not prejudge the guilt of the referees and does not consider that they were drunk. At the same time, she maintains that she believes him Ratkowski and what they report about the whole case.

At the same time, he emphasizes that Bennett did not have a problem with the referees (although the Polish referee himself stated to sportfm.gr that the head referee informed him that his designation was cancelled), but he changed them due to the pressure he received from the Greek media!

The announcement in detail:

The Council of Judges of the PZPN is already investigating the case, but in no way prejudges the guilt of the Polish referees, because the message is biased, lacks evidence and presents the position of only one side.

The Chairman of the Arbitration Committee informs that:

– We have not received any official complaint. We are only relying on media coverage and that is too little to be able to draw any conclusions.

– Our referees persistently deny the version presented by the Greek Media and maintain that they were the victims of the incident on the plane and not the ones who caused it. Based on the information we have gathered so far we have not the slightest reason not to believe the version of our referees.

– According to oral information that reached us, there is not the slightest evidence that the Polish referees were under the influence of alcohol.

– The head of the Greek arbitration gave oral information that he had no objections regarding the behavior of our referees, based among other things on the relationship they had with their official / escort.

He made the decision to replace the Polish referees from the match due to strong pressure from the Media, wanting to avoid the risk that this whole situation could affect their work and their perception of things.

We ask the media not to impersonate the judges until the case is investigated, especially when there has never been a similar allegation against any Polish referee in the past.

Tomasz Mikulski, President of the Refereeing Committee of the Polish Football Association.
