Panhellenic U17: Trabzon is champion in the freestyle and Achilleas Tyrnavou in the women’s

The bet of holding the Panhellenic U17 wrestling championship was won by Pyrgos. The city of Peloponnese that organized for the first time a high-level domestic event, met the requirements and received the most positive impressions.

Over the weekend of 8th and 9th April the under 17 athletes put on a show, giving their best to get on the podium, earn a place in the national team and show that the sport has a great future ahead of it.

On Sunday, April 9, the championship of freestyle wrestling and women’s wrestling for athletes under 17 years of age was held.

The free champion was the team of Trabzon with 61 points, followed by Arkon with 48 and Atlas Kallithea with 29.

Achilleas Tyrnavou won the women’s gold medal with 21 points. Efaistos Vathylakkou also reached the podium with 18 and GO Evosmou Makedones with 12.
