Stuck with Girona, but Barcelona increased the gap… title!

by

Aspheri n Barcelona, but it widened the gap again! The Catalans stayed on 0-0 at home with Girona although they were superior, but they did not find a goal.

Despite this and despite the gela, the Blaugrana escaped in the +13 from the second Real Madrid who on Saturday were defeated 3-2 at home by Villarreal and are getting closer and closer to winning the title.

The Catalans had a good image and the scene in the first part was constantly the same. Girona playing in half the pitch and even further back, Barcelona having the great but wasting one phase after another and paying for their failure. This brought the score to 0-0 at half-time and gave the visitors a boost as they began to loosen up and look on the counter-attack for the goal that would ice the Camp Nou and put his team on the ropes. Xavi.

The crowd saw his team not having the same convincing image in the second half and wanted to make his own mark by rhythmically chanting Lionel Messi’s name again with the… dream of a return looking very close this summer.

Nevertheless, the Barcelona did not manage to break away from the 0-0 with the Girona and the guests got a great and boyish result. With the Catalans staying for 100th straight game without a foul shot. Guess who was the last one to do it and has been missing for the last two years… But of course the Lionel Messi!
