With the regular season of this year’s EuroLeague completed and the positions of the teams in the standings having been “locked”, it was also announced the pairs of the playoffs!
Panathinaikos’ defeat in Belgrade by Partizan, combined with Zalgiris’ stressful victory at the home of Bayern Munich, sent the Fenerbahce in the 8th place of the standings, which means that the team of Dimitris Itoudis, Nick Kalathi, Tyler Dorsey and Costa Antetokounmpo will be the opponent of Piraeus in the playoffs.
Barcelona comfortably beat Valencia, took second place from Real Madrid and will face Zalgiris, while the “queen” will face Partizan Obradovic.
Finally, in the only pair that was known before the start of the last game and from which the next opponent of Olympiakos will emerge, if of course the “red and whites” overcome the obstacle of Fenerbahce, Monaco will face Maccabi Tel Aviv.
The series will start on April 25 and will be completed no later than May 10, with the qualification being judged on the three wins.
The pairs of the playoffs:
Olympiacos – Fenerbahce
Barcelona – Zalgiris
Real Madrid – Partizan
Monaco – Maccabi Tel Aviv
