Ioannis Theofanous, now representative of WKS in Greece, and Andy Souwer meet again and proceed to a new top collaboration for Greek standards, bringing to Greece, a unique spectacle for fans of combat sports and not only!
The best Greek kickboxers will compete in 4 pro-am foursomes – 3 men (67 / 72.5 / 82.5kg) and 1 woman (60kg) – to win the WKS Athens title, and together, the ticket to compete in the international events of the World Kickboxing Series, which is developing at a dizzying pace, from Holland to New York and Rio. The 1st in the ranking will be rewarded with a professional contract in top events such as Glory and ONE Championship.
At WKS Athens 2023, all Greek kickboxers of claim can compete. Any coach who thinks he can fill the few spots left, can contact the responsible promoter, Ioannis Theofanous.
WKS Greece, acts as an antechamber of the dream for the top Greek athletes, with an event which we intend to take place on an annual basis and become an institution and a landmark for the country! Our goal is for Galatsi and Athens to become the center of world kickboxing!
The WORLD KICKBOXING SERIES is a world pro-am championship created in 2016 by Andy Souwer, a legendary athlete and two-time Japanese K1 champion with countless other successes (one of them, a KO win over Michalis Zambidis ) and Jonathan Ruiz, coach and promoter of major athletes and events in the USA. The purpose of WKS is to highlight the best Kickboxers in the world, promoting them through contracts in the biggest professional global promotions.
