by

Statements after the defeat by Olympiakos in “Alexandreio” were made by the coach of Aris, Yannis Kastritiswho took stock of the season for his team and emphasized that he wishes to remain on its bench, while he wished the “red and whites” to reach the Euroleague.

What Aris’ coach said in detail:

For Olympiakos: “Good luck to Olympiakos, I hope they reach the Euroleague, it will be very important for Greek basketball”.

For Mars and the season: “We finished 11-11 and in 8th place, but there is one big but. Some stats I want to mention are that we had the 3rd best defense and 5th best offense in the league. We were the first team in offensive rebounds, first in steals, most possessions in transition and possessions. In Pythagorean wins and losses we are at 13.5-8.5 and they rank us in 5th place respectively.

We had a full court in most games. The management did their best to pay off the debts and make the season run as smoothly as possible. The children put in sweat, effort, sacrificed their bodies. They risked their health. I want to thank everyone, the management, the people who were shocking”.

On whether he will remain on the bench of Aris: “There is a mutual desire and will, we have discussed some things that must go into the essential part of it. Let’s decide for the best of the team. Everyday life at Aris is exciting, I feel a lot for this team. When it’s somewhere nice and they love you, you think differently. Those of us here love Aris and want his good”.
