The match:
The fairly heavy pitch gave the impression that it will make the efforts of the football players of both teams difficult. And indeed that was the case, but without this affecting the rhythm so much.
Levadeakos was the one who took the initiative of the movements at the beginning. In fact, he quickly began to threaten both with static phases and in set play. The ball after Vinicius’ header after a foul in the 7th minute went past the left post, while Gianniota’s deflected shot in the 14th minute had the same result. In between, in the 11th minute, Romao nicely cut Geremegev who was leaving all alone. The home team had entered very strongly and were looking for the goal, but even Nikas in the 17th minute did not find the target.
Little by little, Nikaiotes started to find their balance, and they threatened for the first time with Kanias’ long and smart shot in the 23rd minute. And before long they found the goal, at 26′with his incredible energy Fatiga. The midfielder of Ionikos stole the ball between the center and the large area of Levadeaikos, he carried it a little and caught an incredible deflected shot towards the opposite window! Gol a la… playstation.
Despite this, Levadeiakos did not… chew and tried to react immediately. In fact, having two huge opportunities within three minutes with Geremegev, at 30′ and 32′, with Khutesiotis showing his reflexes.
Nothing else changed until the finale, since in the 45th minute – correctly – Sebas was not given a penalty, a phase that brought expulsion to the visitors’ bench for protests.
Yannis Petrakis started the second half with one change, passing him Breeches in the place of Sahpekidis. Absolutely successful move, since the 21-year-old ace gave new life to his team in midfield. He was quite active already being in two phases until 48′, while he was the one who also created the 1-1 in 50′! In particular, he made an excellent move from the left, emptied Mygas, stepped into the area and broke into Geremegevwho made a nice catch of the ball, turning and placing well.
Levadeiakos had entered the second half better and not only redeemed it, but also found another goal, overturning the score within seven minutes! In the 56′ so o Mejia he made the shot from the edge of the area in the first half, the ball went against Seba, stuck to the ground, the Honduran midfielder took it again and with a nice placement sent it into the net for 1-2!
Ionikos now had his back against the wall. Michalis Grigoriou threw into the match Woolery (instead of Fatiga), who threatened in the 66th minute with a strong shot, but seeing Groff stop him.
Afterwards, the Viotia team managed to control the tempo quite well. However, the finale saw the visitors strike again. In the 85′ corner taken from the right, Mygas took the first header, the ball went against the Paz and Chygrinsky with the second he sent the ball into the net.
