The winner of the Dutch derby was Eindhoven which was imposed 3-0 of Ajax in the 30th matchday of the Eredivisie.
PSV extended their unbeaten streak to a twelfth game, leading “Aianda” to another blunder, which kept them in third place in the standings. The hosts, on the other hand, climbed to second place with three more points and remain in the hunt for the leader Feyenoord who is at +5 (with one match less).
The main protagonist for the home team was De Jong, who opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a header from Bakayoko’s assist and sealed the victory by making it 3-0 in the 78th minute. In the meantime, Simmons he had doubled the goals in the 54th minute with an accurate penalty kick.
The game was marked by vacation, due to throwing an object at Steffen Berghaus. In the 61st minute – and while the hosts were leading 2-0 – an Eindhoven fan threw a beer glass at the Ajax captain. The referee sent both teams to the locker room for a few minutes, the fan was removed from the stands and the game continued.
After the resumption of the match, Ajax had a great chance to reduce, but Taylor’s shot was stopped by the post.
