A “beam” of light for them Russians and the Belarusians athletes and their participation in international events!
As it became known All England Lawn Tennis Clubas the organizing authority of Wimbledon, gave the green light for the participation of tennis players originating from the two specific countries.
However, a caveat was placed on her approval stating that both Russian and Belarusian athletes they will not wear a badge or any emblem which would demonstrate their origin.
The acceptance of the proposal came after the urging of the British government without, however, diminishing the condemning attitude towards the war declared in Ukraine.
The announcement also makes known the decision that the All England Lawn Tennis Club, in order to financially support Ukraine, will finance the accommodation of the country’s athletes, “keeping” a pound from the tickets.
