City with the heart of a champion, knocked Arsenal… unconscious and embraces the title!

by

Manchester City with… the heart of a champion, they knew the… ghost of Arsenal and took a title lead!

Making an impressive, as well dominant appearance – especially in the first half – Pep Guardiola’s team dominated it a commanding 4-1 on the leader of the standings, in the big one summit derby of the 33rd matchday of the Premier League!

A great protagonist for the “citizens” was none other than Kevin De Bruynewith the Belgian midfielder scoring two beautiful goals at 7′ and 54′, with Stones to add his name to the scoreboard with a header in first-half stoppage time and Haaland in the 90+5′ to make shapes the final score, making history as well reached 33 goals in the league and left behind Mo Salah!

For the “gunners” on the other hand, who for the fourth consecutive game stayed away from the three points, “demolishing” everything good they had built so far this season, Holding scored in the 86th minute.

Somehow, City moved up to the 73 degrees and closed the gap on the top and Arsenal at the two points, with the Manchester team even having and two matches less, those with West Ham (inside) and Brighton (away).

The match:

Her start was explosive Manchester City in the game, with Pep Guardiola’s men coming into the match very strongly and suffocating Arsenal’s defence, which started the game very sluggishly. In the first phase of the match, the “citizens” were lucky to open the score with magic energy of Kevin De Bruyne! In particular, Haaland fed the Belgian just ahead of the midfield area, with the 31-year-old midfielder traversing half the pitch, withstanding the pressure of three Arsenal players and with a terrible drift shot in the lower left corner of Ramsdale na makes it 1-0!

With the psychology at the height and the Arsenal on… canvas, City continued to play their game, fully controlling the pace and pace of the match and stepping on the gas whenever they wanted. In the 21st minute, Bernardo Silva threatened with a weak shot, with the visitors responding with Gabriel’s header, their first of the match. City then lost two huge opportunities in the open field, initially at 26′, when he quickly came out on the counterattack, with White cutting him to the rescue De Bruynewhile, two minutes later, the Haaland“danced” the opposing defense with Ramsdale impressively taking out the Norwegian’s place!

In the 32nd minute, Haaland threatened again with a powerful volley from a wide position, with the Gunners missing their best chance of the half three minutes later when Partey’s spot-kick went narrowly wide. At 36′ and 41′ again Haaland “touched” the goal, with his shot in the first case going just wide and in the second the visitors’ keeper instinctively pushing away.

Manchester City – Arsenal 2-0

Finally, what the Norwegian could not do earlier, he succeeded Stones in the second minute of stoppage time, giving his team a two-goal lead close head after a foul, and while the phase was checked in the VAR.

The scene is similar in second halfwith Pep Guardiola’s side doing whatever they want in the game against in… Arsenal’s ghost. The one that threatened first in the replay was Mikel Arteta’s team, with a long shot by Chaka in the 48th minute. City then took the baton, with Ramsnael making an improbable stop in the 53rd minute in a unrepeatable tete-a-tete by Erling Haalandwho was chasing the goal like… crazy!

Manchester City – Arsenal 3-0

Seconds later, in a carbon “phase” of the first goal, City find their way to the net to make it 3-0! Specifically, the MVP of the match, De Bruyne, stole the ball a little further from the center area, and, after playing it 1-2 with Haaland, caught one great place from the left of the area, giving dimensions of triumph to City’s victory!

Somewhere there, the pace of the match dropped noticeably, with the home team throwing “turns”, however maintaining the initiative of the movements, but also the possession of the ball. It is indicative that apart from Gintogan’s phase in the 64th minute, there was nothing remarkable in the game until the last quarter of the match.

In 87′, in one of Arsenal’s few phases in the opposition area, Trossard passed to Holding, who with a well-weighted shot from the top of the box beat Emerson to make it 3-1. And while everything seemed to be the final score, came the Haaland in the fifth minute of stoppage time and with a cool shot after a mistake by the guests, he put the icing on the cake for the final 4-1!
