For his part, “Shack” said: “I was also hard on myself when I didn’t win. When you’re a big player, when a lot is expected of you and you don’t win, in my mind you’ve failed. I played 19 seasons and failed in 15. When I didn’t win the championship, I failed. I can’t tell someone how to think, but that’s how I was raised. Giannis himself is of course not a failure as a player, but the season was a failure for the organization. I respect his explanation but for me when we didn’t win it was always my fault and I always considered it a failure».
