AEK: The Almeida solutions for the right back position

THE AEK left behind the derby with Panathinaikos (0-0) and turns to Wednesday’s with Olympiakos at Opap Arena (20:00). In the “black and yellow” there is the belief that the championship has not yet been lost and everyone is determined to make 3/3 in the remaining matches in the hope that the “green” will have a loss. After all, it will be suicidal for the “Union” not to take advantage of any missteps of the other contenders.

THE Matias Almeidawho yesterday kept his players in Spata for about three hours, a headache for the right back position. THE Lazaros Rota after his head injury on sunday he was discharged yesterday morning wearing a collar, since the x-ray he took was clear. In fact, he went up to the training center, without training of course. Even if he does today though, it is difficult for him to play, at least for the whole match, on Wednesday. THE Jibril Sidibe he returned to a normal training routine yesterday, however, he has to compete exactly one month after the contusion he suffered in the derby with PAOK in Toumba on April 2. It also looks difficult to play in 90 minutes with such intensity.

These problems leave two options for Matias Almeidas. The first is to recruit him there Orbelin Pineda, who did admirably in this role against Panathinaikos on Sunday, but to be deprived of the center. The second, with more risk, is to use him Vedant Radonia, who took and capitalized on some opportunities in the Cup, but not in the semi-finals against Olympiakos.
