Laković’s Gran Canaria lifted the Eurocup and secured a place in next season’s Euroleague!

He won this year’s Eurocup by winning 71-67 her Turk Telecom in the grand final, and ensured its presence in the next season’s Euroleague Gran Canaria!

In fact, the Spaniards raised the difference in their favor to double digits for the first time (34-24), with a three-pointer by Sourna, who scored six more consecutive points, for the 40-24. The impressive streak of Gran Canaria stopped at 17-1 (46-24), while going to the locker room with… a margin of safety (50-33).

Brussino’s 3-pointer made it 53-33 in favor of the home team early in the third period, before Turk Telecom responded by going on a 12-2 run to cut it to 55-47, before Sestina made it 61-55 at the end of the quarter. Inglis with a three-pointer put Gran Canaria at +7 (64-57), but the Turks had not said their last word, making a short 5-0 run and falling to the basket (64-62). Sourna hit his third three-pointer for the 67-62 and then the hosts kept their cool, eventually taking the win with 71-67 and thus winning the coveted trophy!
